Mayor Towny Info
Creating a Town
To create a town, you must first find an area of land that you would like to be the home plot of your town. Plots at 16x16 blocks large, the exact size of a chunk, and go from bedrock to the the sky. You can create a town using:The town name can only consist of alphanumeric characters, and must begin with a letter. This means no spaces! The action of claiming a home town plot and starting a town will deduct 250 tokens from your iConomy account.Code (text):/town new <townname>
Adding Funds to Town Bank
Once your town is created, you will automatically become the mayor of a town. Your town will only be one plot large. The first thing you’re going to want to do, before anything else, is to ensure that your town bank has some funds. The current rate of upkeep per plot that is charged on a real life day basis is 2 iconomy tokens per real life day. If your town bank doesn’t have enough money to pay for all your plots come 6:00PM pacific, your town protection will be removed and you will have to pay the initial 500 tokens again, and recreate your town, add all your members, claim all your land, etc all over again. To deposit tokens you can use the following command:Additionally, as a mayor, or assistant, you can withdraw money using:Code (text):/town deposit <amount>Code (text):/town withdraw <amount>
Adding People To Your Town
You can add people to your town by using the command. The player will be prompted with an invitation to join your town that they must accept. You can kick people using:Code (text):/town add <playername>You can also make residents in your town “assistants”. Assistants will have all the permissions a mayor has, with the except of removing other assistants and the mayor. They will be able to invite people to the town, and have direct access to the town bank (more on this later). To add someone as an assistant, use the following command:Code (text):/town kick <playername>. To remove an assistant:Code (text):/town assistant add <playername>Code (text):/town assistant remove <playername>
If a player is kicked from your town, they have the privilege to grab their items and leave. If you do not grant them this privilege you may receive a warning and an admin will observe to see that the move is completed.
Claiming Land
As a mayor (or assistant), you are able to claim additional plots of land for your town. Each plot, as said, is 16x16, from bedrock to sky. There are several methods for claiming land, the easiest of which is to turn on towny map mode, walk into each plot you want to claim, and then use the claim command.
To enable towny map mode, use the following command:Code (text):/resident set mode map
Walk into a different chunk, that is adjacent to your home block, and type in:Code (text):/town claim
This will claim that chunk for the town, if you walk into another chunk, and you see your map update, you can now see that the chunk you just claimed is a part of your town. The H on the map is your towns home plot. To turn off map mode, use this command:Code (text):/resident set mode reset
You cannot claim land less than 5 plots (80 blocks) away from another town.
